Arts For Life’s Fellowship program is designed for emerging & professional artists looking for ways to develop and utilize their skills with youth in their communities. In the program, Arts For Life staff trains & supervises the Fellows in teaching the arts to young patients in the hospital setting for 6-18 hours each week. Fellows work with Arts For Life for a minimum of 1 year. Successful artist fellows will be able to create beginning, intermediate, and advanced projects that peak the interest of children of all ages. We prefer that the Fellows have experience working with children. Fellows must be residents of North Carolina. Compensation for the Fellowships is $5,000-$13,000 a year depending on experience and time committed.
Arts For Life began the Fellowship Program in Asheville and Winston-Salem with grants from the Janirve Foundation, NC Arts Council, and The Winston-Salem Foundation. |
